HIGHLIGHTS
The 2011 Scion tC delivers an aggressive look and driver-inspired performance, with a premium feel. Inspired by the Scion FUSE concept car, the 2011 tC projects a bold image. As part of the Canadian Scion brand launch, the 2011 tC arrives in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver Scion dealerships for September 2010.
 
SPECIFICATIONS
  • The front-wheel drive 2011 Scion tC features two transmissions:
    • 6x-speed manual transmission has excellent shift-feel and adds to the car’s fun-to-drive character
    • A new 6-speed automatic gains two gears along with sequential-shift 
  • Performance is enhanced with a 2.5-litre inline 4-cylinder engine with Dual VVT-i that generates:
    • 180 horsepower
    • 173 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 2011 tC delivers more power, while using less fuel:
    • Engine delivers power and fuel economy all while lowering emissions
TECHNOLOGIES
  • Performance is front and centre with a unique intake manifold design and a sport-tuned exhaust system that delivers a bold and aggressive sound
  • 2011 tC rides on a specially tuned MacPherson strut front-suspension and a double-wishbone rear-suspension that rides low
  • A performance-tuned electronic power-steering system provides a confident feel
  • Driver-focused cockpit features a sporty three-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom and a unique shape that offers a confident grip
  • Front seats feature robust bolsters, providing secure positioning in addition to space and comfort
  • The Scion tC is also reinforced with key safety features. In addition to standard Anti-lock Brakes (ABS), the tC also sports:
    • Standard Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA)
    • Active front-headrests and 8 airbags are also standard, including driver and front-passenger knee airbags
    • Brake Override System
FEATURES
  • Large, aggressive 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels are wrapped in wider tires, giving the tC a broader stance; combined with larger disc brakes on all corners, this provides elevated handling characteristics
  • Cabin length delivers a more comfortable passenger experience with versatility
  • The instrument-panel, gauge cluster and centre-console all face inward in a V-shape, making controls easily accessible
  • Reclining, 60/40 split rear seats provide more storage capacity
  • Panoramic moonroof standard
  • Standard AM/FM/CD/USB 8-speaker audio system features steering-wheel-mounted controls

  • All SCION models are well-equipped with a full range of features, from air conditioning and cruise control to serious audio systems with SCION Sound Processing. Upgrades and accessories can be added to any SCION a la carte, allowing for maximum personalization
  • From unique wheels, shift knobs and sport pedals to satellite radio systems and a broad selection of TRD (Toyota Racing Development) performance enhancements, Scion customization combinations are almost endless
