HIGHLIGHTS
The 2011 Scion xD's urban personality is communicated by its wide stance, thick muscular body, accentuated wheel flares and large tires. xD’s futuristic exterior characterizes it as a Scion with its simple surfaces and sharp lines that flow from front to rear. As part of the Canadian Scion brand launch, the 2011 xD arrives in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver Scion dealerships in September 2010.
 
SPECIFICATIONS
  • The 2011 xD is equipped with a 1.8-litre, four-cylinder engine and is mated to either a 5-Speed Manual or 4-Speed Automatic Transmission:
    • Front-wheel drive 4-cylinder model delivers 128 hp
    • Features Dual VVT-i, for impressive efficiency, providing a broader powerband yet requiring less fuel and generating fewer tailpipe emissions
  • Performance, with fuel efficiency and emissions control - Tier 2 Bin 5 emissions rating
 
TECHNOLOGIES
  • Standard electric power-steering system delivers fuel efficiency improvements
  • Impressive standard safety equipment on Scion xD includes:
    • Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), anti-lock brake system (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Traction Control (TRAC)
    • 6 SRS airbags - including driver- and front-passenger airbags; driver- and front-passenger seat-mounted side airbags; side curtain airbags
    • Brake Override System (BOS)

    • Standard 6-speaker audio system and available multiple audio head units for audiophiles; xD’s will come with standard Bluetooth capability, USB input and auxiliary ports and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls
